Associated Research Group ARCHITECTURE LAB (LABART)
Objectives
The main objective of the Associated Research Group “Architecture lab” (LABART) is the conceptualization, diffusion and implementation of architecture based on research activity carried out by its sub-groups. In the current architectural perspective, the discipline-related research has been marked by a great deal of dispersion. The LABART pretends to create a space for the fusion of different research endeavours and it embraces the following major lines of activity: application of auxiliary knowledge to the architectural conception and project, and research about specific discipline-related aspects of architecture. In this framework, the specific objectives of LABART are:
-
to encourage publication of books and articles based on studies carried out in research projects, as well as to promote lectures and conferences that emanate from them;
-
to gain international recognition for work developed by LUBA – Lusophone Projects Laboratory;
-
to organize national and international scientific conferences, seminars and other events;
-
to stimulate the participation of its members in national and international open calls for project proposals and activities;
-
- to amplify network connections with national and international research groups;
-
to collaborate in the development of thematic networks that are conducive to concerted research programs.
